Portfolio

Before taking the leap into advertising and creative producing, I worked as a fashion and music journalist in Montreal and Toronto. I wrote for publications like ELLE Canada, I appeared live on MTV’s The Aftershow to chat pop-culture news and fashion, and I got to interview/review some pretty rad bands when writing for Press +1, a now-defunct online publication.

Below is a selection of my work for your consuming pleasure, or find my complete resume here.

Producer Credits:

The Financial Pipeline – Conceived/created and produce an informative and entertaining video series inspired by The Daily Show for the financial publication of which I’m Content Director. Here are the latest clips: The Dorr Report: Booms & Busts, The Dorr Report: What are negative interest rates?

The Financial Pipeline – Produced a video ad for Financial Literacy Awareness Month.

The Financial Pipeline – Conceived and produced the Rapidfire Rounds series. Here’s a favourite clip.

Trampoline Branding – A video ad we made ended up on Ads of the World. That was fun.

Writer Credits:

Healthy Is Hot – The brainchild of Etalk’s Chloe Wilde which started as a hashtag and turned into a movement (and a TV show on Crave); I’m a writer and contributor. You can read my words here.

ELLE Canada – You can view my portfolio of writing samples from ELLE Canada’s print edition. Some of my pieces appeared online, too. Click through for my words below:

The Coast – I covered the Osheaga music festival for the alt weekly paper in Halifax, NS.
Oh look, I was also featured in a street style segment.

Press +1 – I wrote and edited for the now defunct online mag. A selection is below:

Momentum Magazine – A feature I wrote in 2009 on the raw food phenomenon, page 38.

On-Air Credits:

MTV Canada – I got to do a lot of cool shit (i.e. hang with Lauren Conrad and shake hands with Quentin Tarantino), but the highlights professionally were appearing in various skits on MTV Live, being a guest on The Aftershow, and when my pitch meeting ideas were selected for the shows.
