Kicking Off Christmas

December 10, 2012

Although I’ve been listening to Christmas music for a good three weeks now, we officially “kicked-off” Christmas this weekend. It’s become an annual tradition with my old university gal pals and, being back in Halifax now, this was my first time participating post-University days.

We started the night with a delicious home cooked meal and moved onto wine, cocktails and Pinterest inspired treats from there. We watched the cheesiest Christmas movies possible, and I can’t tell you how nice it was to curl up next to a Christmas tree (my family hasn’t had one in 6 years) with some of my oldest girlfriends for the eve! It’s no secret that this is my favourite time of year, but my friend Jill – our lovely host this weekend – truly rivals my love for the holiday. Here are a few snaps from our festive weekend at her home in Truro!

Very festive and a very nice tree! Some Christmas movies in those surroundings with good company, a few munchies, as well as some CC with your favourite mix, or on the rocks, would make for a nice soiree.
