Honey, I’m home.
It’s finally time to share my latest adventure with the world. It actually took me a few attempts to write this as there is so much to say – and as usual, I struggle with finding the balance between honesty and over sharing. There is a long version, and I’m sure it may come out at some point, but until then, I’ll keep this short & sweet.
As many of you know, I recently moved back to Halifax. While I had many amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experiences in Toronto over the last three years, I needed a change of pace. I wanted a simpler life. I wanted a life near the ocean. I wanted a career I was invested in. And I really wanted to be part of something I’m proud of.
Last winter, I was introduced to local ad agency, Trampoline Branding. Being totally inspired by and in awe of said agency, I knew I had to work there. I courted them for the better part of a year in the hopes of landing a coveted job. Needless to say, I wooed them. In mid-August, my new life came knocking. Within two weeks of a job offer, I was on a plane with two suitcases, heading back to my home away from home on the ocean.
It’s been a nonstop adventure since I’ve been back. Navigating a long distance relationship. Reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones… there have been countless beach adventures, girls nights, wine-fueled dance parties, and exploring my “new again” city. The bonus to this move? I’m starting with a blank canvas of an apartment, which means I can litter the blog with all my decor woes decisions.
