Boston: The Shoes

April 16, 2012

As I mentioned last week, I didn’t come home from Boston empty-handed. I have this bad habit, where unless I buy something new to replace it, I have a hard time getting rid of old clothes & footwear. For example, oh I can’t get rid of this lace tanktop until I have something similar that will replace it! It’s a sickness really. This means I hang onto things far past their due dates.

I’m telling you this for a reason, I swear. I have long been overdue for new summer footwear and I finally found some replacement goodies in Boston – out with the old and in with the new!

Michaek Kors black patent flats. I’ve never been able to find comfy flats. Since forever, I’ve only been able to comfortably wear my suede MK loafers so I went to Boston on a mission to find the perfect black flat for those Spring mornings when suede just won’t do. Voila!

Toms are beyond comfortable. I bought a pair when I was working retail last year, and they’re a real lifesaver if you have to be on your feet for hours at a time. I’d been eyeing this crochet pair, so when I saw them in Boston (for cheaper than they sell in Canada) I knew they had to be mine.

Ah, this is where I make my point. I have SO many pairs of sandals – most of them have lost all support, or just don’t look so pretty anymore. But I didn’t feel I could get rid of any of them until I had something to replace them with. I found this pair on sale at Lord & Taylor and I couldn’t say no to that colour combo!
