“Geometric 70s No.2”. This is the necklace I’ve fallen head over heels for! When the original design quickly sold out, designer Melissa De Luca knew the demand was there for a second generation so she created this bad-boy right away.
Don’t you just love the classic yet edgy feel?
Her inspiration for the piece was “Findings from the Attic,” and the entire S/S 12 collection has that same ‘modern with a dash of antique’ feel. As Melissa describes it, “Imagine rummaging through an attic stored with knick knacks from years gone by. Nothing really matches or goes together, yet you get a sense of a certain period of time – a “feel” of the decade it came from.”
Fredrick Prince is based out of Toronto, but has a full e-commerce site so if you’re not lucky enough to live where her pieces are sold in boutiques (across Southern ON and soon BC), you can still easily snatch up your own Geometric 70s necklace.
