Well, I finally made the big move back home! Phew. I packed up my entire life in Montreal, drove it to Ottawa with my dad, and then proceeded to Toronto from there with my mom. I arrived safe and sound on Sunday night, and since then have been sitting amongst boxes and suitcases and STUFF. Too much stuff.
We are moving into a new house next week, so I am still feeling unsettled and in transition since I can’t really unpack. But I still have to re-pack; transfer all of my things from broken-down boxes and plastic grocery bags to neatly labeled Bankers Boxes to make for an easy and efficient move. But in between now and next week, I am finding it difficult to locate all of the necessities to being a girl living in the big city… clothes, toiletries, blow dryer, etc.
Tonight is my first “big night out” since my return. I am going to see Kings of Leon (floor seats baby!), which will also mark my first article written as a Toronto Correspondent for Press+1. After months of being a Correspondent in a city I wasn’t able to fully enjoy, I am ecstatic about all the possibilities Toronto holds for me!
Then, shortly after the move I start at MTV Canada… still no idea what I will be doing there, but I couldn’t be more stoked about starting. I even got a new haircut!!! A new look for a new chapter in my life… highlights are up next!
